Simmered mackerel in miso
mackerel is compatible with miso.
Ingredients
- 4 mackerel fillets
- 1 oz ginger
- sake, mirin, miso, sugar
Directions
- Cut ginger into shin slice.
- Pour 1 cup sake into pan and boil for a while. Put mackerel and ginger and boil 2-3 minutes until fish is done. Add 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 tablespoon mirin and 2 tablespoon miso, cover with a drop-lid and simmer for 10 minutes over a medium flame.
