Yasuko-san is pickling
Yasuko-san likes Japanese pickles. There are 2 or 3 kinds of pickles on the table. After diner, she eats pickles with drink Japanese tea.
She buy pickles on sale, but handmade pickles is by far tasty.
Container for make pickles
- Wooden barrel
Wooden barrel, 33 cms in diameter, 32 cms in height. As craftsman who make wooden barrel are steadily decrease, it is difficult to get now.- Earthenware container
Earthenware container- Plastic container
This plastic container have 2 kind of size. The big one is 15 cms in depth, 25 cms in width, 12 cms in height. Small one is 12 cms in depth, 20 cms in width, 12 cms in height. Yasuko-san has 5 - 6 containers. Put ingredients into receptacle, lid on, turn a knob, partition is down.- Plastic bag
This receptacle do not use weight. Put ingredients and soy sauce into bag, take away air and bind. Leave overnight (about 8 hours) in the refrigerator.
